As an agent, simplifying the bond application process is crucial to providing excellent service to your clients. RLI Surety’s Bond Link portal is designed to streamline this process, ensuring you can quickly and efficiently secure the bonds you need. We’ve created a simple step-by-step guide to help you navigate the Bond Link platform.
Getting Started with a New Bond Page 📌
Select the state: Start by selecting the obligee state where the bond is required.
Search for the bond: Use the search bar to expedite finding the bond you need, or browse the list of available bonds for that state.
Begin the process: Once you’ve located the desired bond, click ‘Start’ to initiate a new bond application.
Unavailable bonds: If the bond you need isn’t listed, it’s not offered on this platform.
Entering Bond Information 📍
The Bond Info tab is where you’ll input the bond’s details. Ensure you complete all required fields, including:
Retail Agent License Number
Retail Agent Name
Retail Agent Email
Once all fields are complete, click ‘Continue.’
Completing the Application 📝
If an application is required, the Application tab will appear. Here, you’ll enter additional information specific to the bond type. Follow the prompts to ensure all necessary details are included.
Uploading Documents 📑
Some bonds may require you to upload supporting documents. If uploads are not applicable for your bond, simply click ‘Continue’ to move to the confirmation page.
Confirming Details ✔️
On the Confirmation page:
Review your bond: Preview a sample of your bond and make corrections by clicking ‘Back.’
Select delivery method: Choose between email or paper delivery. If selecting email, enter the required information and complete email verification.
Click ‘Finish’ to proceed.
Finalizing Payment 💸
Complete the payment process as follows:
Agree to the terms and conditions and click ‘Continue.’
Choose your payment option (credit card or EFT) and provide payment details.
After payment, save and print the confirmation for your records.
Bond Delivery 📩
Electronic delivery: Bonds are emailed in PDF format within minutes. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see the email in your inbox.
Paper delivery: Paper bond documents are mailed the next business day.
